Few weeks ago I was reading this post about a new technology where Apple shows a new way to charge devices via induction, in fact the proposal of this new patent is charge and data transfer via wireless to the iPhone, or some other device, all the respective information about that patent you can find here.
But today I was reading in Slashdot ” Wireless Power Now A Reality“, this is a report from CNN about an startup called Powercast working in the same way than Apple, so the pieces was joined by themselves and I think than Apple takes seriously the option of charge their devices trough wireless way, the basement of this new technology is the same as the bluetooth, so thats the reason why at this time the maximum distance to charge any device in a wireless way is just 3ft, but in meantime this could be change.
